An abstract by UCSF General Surgery research resident Dr. Jessica Cohan, "Surgical Decision Making in Patients with Ulcerative Colitis: The Patient Perspective", was recently selected for the category  "Best of DDW" (Digestive Disease Week) by the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT).

Dr. Cohan will be presenting during the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract's Plenary Session on May 18th from 8:00am to 9:30am. Click here for more information on DDW 2015!

2015 05 06 17 04 55 RE May Training Education Announcements From IHPS Message HTML In addition, it will be highlighted as part of the Best of DDW session on Tuesday, May 19th from 2:00-4:00 pm in Room 140 in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. In addition, Dr. Cohan was chosen to participate in DDW's Press Program, which will include an interview, a press release, and interviews with the media.

Earlier this year, Dr. Cohan was awarded the best clinical science presentation at UCSF's 28th Annual J. Engelbert Dunphy Resident Research Symposium for her abstract and podium presentation "A Surgical Decision Aid for Ulcerative Colitis: A Pilot Study."
